Spontaneous

What a beautiful day for the beach! At least that is what John and I thought when we woke up this morning. Besides Paul and Anastasia had not been to the ocean yet.

Paul loved the beach-- the water, the sand, the running around-- he loved it all!

Here are Anastasia, Sveta, Paul, and Galina running for the water!

My two oldest teenagers-- aren't they cool?

William skim boarded the whole time! And he was good!

John built his usual sand dolphin-- gotta love him!

Can you believe that right now we have five 12 year olds? But in less than week Annalyn turns 13-- and then Julia.

Look at my handsome boys! Jonny was so excited to find the fin of a surfboard on the beach with his Daddy-- it's his new prized possession.

Dennis loved running to the water and quickly turning around and running away from it. It was so cute. At home while getting him ready for bed I asked him if he liked the beach. "No, the water get me wet." But don't let his answer fool you-- he loved it!

This was us after our family photo.

On the way home we stopped for ice-cream. The server said he stopped counting after 10.

Today turned out to be a wonderful day! I am so glad that I let John talk me into doing something spontaneous!
P.S. Now I have lots of new pictures (for Paul) to hang up on our walls!

What a wonderful day. We are still waiting on the snow to melt that we got almost a week ago. We never get snow in these parts and I am sooo ready to see it go. Oh, the beach sounds wonderful right now.

Love the pics. Now you can change your header to include your new daughter. :)

Still amazed by you and your husband. You surely are a special couple.

Oh such a beautiful day! I wish we were there instead of here right now. Today was -30celcius so we holed up inside. I love the pictures you took of the family and girls and boys separately, wonderful memories for everyone but firsts for Paul, Anistasia and Galina. I was going to ask, is Galina from Europe or from the US?

Looks like you guys had a great time! I find it so bizarre that there are places in the world that you can go to the beach in January. :)

I feel like a new header image is coming! :)

Wonderful pictures! Now I wonder about the logistics of such a trip: I believe you take your van and a car?

What fun! Our water is too cold now. The kids usually start going back in the water in early April but other than jet skiing, I wait until May/June. I like it warm!

What a good opportunity to get photos of all the kids together.

Okay, you are at the beach and we are having a blizzard. Are you sure we are from the same country? It is now 3:15 pm and 18º with a windchill of -2.

I counted 17 in your family photo. Too cool! I so love it!

Sounds like I'm not the only one jealous. Here in Michigan, we are a long way off from having beach days.

OK, a little jealous that you guys were at the beach. Here, in KS, it's freezing cold and snow on the ground. Looks like you all had fun though.

Congrats on Galina. Praying for her and her other family. It has to be such a hard decision for them.

You do such a great job on blogging AND homeschooling. You say you don't have the times down yet.... I am only homeschooling 1 child and I can't find the time to really blog! You are doing a great job at it.

Looking forward to hearing more about Galina.

Looks like you had a great time! Also looks like you live in NZ or Australia rather than the US, going to the beach in January, hahah! :)
